Brielle Corrente - Top 15
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
1. When I was fourteen I was diagnosed with optic neuritis and lost the majority of my vision and became color blind. With these new changes seeing in bright lights became hard therefore I have a very hard time seeing on stage. At nationals I will memorize how many steps it takes me to get from one stop to the next so I don’t fall off the end of the stage!
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
2. In May of 2014 I became a published author with the release of my first children’s book, Finding The Color in My Black and White World. The book is for sale on Amazon, kindles, and IPads. It’s a great read for anyone of any age. All proceeds made from the sales of the book will go to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
3. I love volunteering. If there’s a club or an activity I will be there! I am a Red Cross volunteer, dancer for Autism Awareness, Soles for Souls volunteer, NRS Street Member, and many others. Community service is a very big part of my life and will always be.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
4. Dancing is a passion to me. I have been a dancer for 14 years now and will sadly be leaving my studio this year since I am a senior. I am proficient in all styles of dance. “Find the magic in the dance. Dance for that magic and the many people who came to see that magic.”
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
5. I am optimistic. Even on a rainy day I like to find the sun shining bright somewhere. I enjoy making people laugh and smile, and helping them overcome any types of adversity they face in their lives; that is my platform, Finding the Color in a Black and White World: Overcoming Adversity. I hope to touch many lives and make many dull worlds become colorful. I am your Miss Teen Pennsylvania International 2014.
